Applicants from Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania will apply only at Consulate General of Pakistan Melbourne for their driving licence verification.

Statutory Declaration Requirement

Applicants requesting Name Verification (confirmation of the name as it appears on the licence and passport) must complete a Statutory Declaration.

The Statutory Declaration must: Be signed and witnessed by a Justice of the Peace (JP) and be submitted in its original form (photocopies or scanned copies are not accepted).

You have to attach a self addressed return envelope if you are sending documents by post. Alternatively, you can send the documents through email at: info.melbourne@mofa.gov.pk.

Warning (Fraudulent Documents)

Submitting false, altered or fraudulent documents, including counterfeit or fraudulent Ministry attestations, is a serious criminal offence under Commonwealth law.

If fraudulent documents are submitted as part of a Licence Verification application, the matter will be referred to the appropriate law enforcement authorities for investigation. The submission of fraudulent documents may also affect your eligibility for future licensing or verification services.

4. Applicant’s copy of the Pakistani driving license (National License Only) attested by Justice of Peace (JP)

5. Applicant’s copy of a valid Australian visa.

6. Postal Money Order / Certified Bank Cheque / Bank Draft also EFTPOS for the processing fee amounting to AUD $20.00 in favour of ‘Consulate General of Pakistan Melbourne”.

While the submission of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) is not mandatory, it is considered a supporting document. Should you wish to provide one, please ensure that the NOC is attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan, or its designated camp offices.

Additionally, driving license record should be available online.

The normal processing time is 5 working days if all the documents are complete and satisfactory but if they are not, then the documents are sent to the concerned driving license issuing authorities in Pakistan for verification of your driving license where it can take longer time.

We do not offer any such service here at the Consulate General for driving licence renewal.

If the required documents are not provided, it will be difficult to timely process the application. We can send a letter to the driving license issuing authority in Pakistan for verification of the particulars of the driving license.

Please note that there is no exact time frame for receiving such verifications.

We only verify the valid Pakistani driving license.
